The Way of the Dodo
Having just purchased a new computer, my parents have little use for the many 1.44 MB floppies collected over the years. The new computer doesn't even HAVE a floppy drive. But with the purchase of a new computer, you get a free rotary dial telephone!
During my stay, I also got a pre-Europe VC Grade shot for posterity.

Alex, Two Kims and a Cat
We visited our friends, Kim and Alex (soon to be Persagona) and their roommate...Kim. You can tell we're all about playing with the massive 20 pound kitty. Thanks for a great time, and are you kidding me with that steak? Oh my gosh, that was good!

Wither
Melissa Brennan has some friends who go by the name, "Wither". They performed at Camp Pendleton on Friday and did a great job. They're really nice folks so I told them I'd post some photos - despite not really having the best equipment for the job.

16-35 2.8
On Saturday, I shot a wedding using Fuji cameras with Nikon lenses. Bella Pictures was good enough to loan them to me for me to shoot for them. I'll post shots from that event soon.
Although I was looking forward to trying out the equipment, I was actually more into the lens I was using to shoot this image.
It's a 16-35 2.8L I just bought and attached moments before this shot. I love that lens.

Practice Hike
Kellye & I hiked through the Italian back-country for some fresh air and a solid workout. It was a good time - though very tiring...
...and it was actually not in Italy at all. Home sweet home.
My madre and I decided to throw some extra padding on the straps. The practice Euro-hike proved to be tiring on the shoulders. When we were done with the straps, they looked quite legit, I must say.

The Big Nine-Oh
On Wednesday we had the privilege of celebrating Imel Willis's 90th birthday. It was great to see everyone and an honor to be included in the evening's festivities.
Happier and wiser with each passing year.
Look at those little dudes. With such perfectly shaped heads too!
Rachael still playing beautifully.
Blowing the candles out better than I can at 30!
Sooo sleepy. But not so much that he can't help jam on dad's guitar.
There's a rumor that you just can't go wrong with some delicious sugar cereal. Yum.
Okay, Dave. So maybe you look more like Greg Koukl in person but you can at least get an idea from his pic at STR (which you can see on the link to the right).
We missed you Lisa, Lancasters and others who couldn't make it. If you'd like to get me photos of yourselves looking up, I'll photoshop you in and no one will be the wiser. : )

Before & After
I was recently asked to share some of my images before and after they're edited. I threw together some examples to show how a little care in the 'dark room' can make a noticeable difference.
